About Us
What is the aim of the Quintessentially Foundation?
The aim of the Quintessentially Foundation is to improve the health, wellbeing and education of disadvantaged children, families and local communities worldwide to allow them to fulfil their potential and realise their dreams.
How will the Quintessentially Foundation achieve these aims?
The Quintessentially Foundation will achieve these aims by supporting the work of selected charity partners whose work improves the health, wellbeing and education of disadvantaged people. We will look to invest both money and professional skills from across the Quintessentially Group to help the charities make a step-change in their impact. These partners will have proven to the Board of Trustees that their work is both measurable and sustainable as well as demonstrating an innovative and dynamic approach to helping the foundation meet its goals.
How many charities does the Quintessentially Foundation support?
Each year, the Quintessentially Foundation will support up to four partner charities. Two of these will have a UK focus the others will have an international reach.
How are the charity partners selected?
Our charity partners are selected by the Board of Trustees. The charities must meet the aims of the Foundation and are assessed on their capacity to use funding efficiently and effectively and whether they can demonstrate an innovative approach to their work.
How long are the charitable partnerships for?
As we are a new Foundation, we make an initial commitment of a year to our nominated charities. This relationship is reassessed on a case by case basis at the end of each year.
How will the Quintessentially Foundation raise money for the charities?
The Quintessentially Foundation will look to raise funds through various fundraising initiatives. In 2011, we will be putting together a calendar of exciting, high-profile events in partnership with the Quintessentially Group which will be held across the group’s network of offices. We also accept direct donations via our website. If you would like to make a donation, please go to the Donate page for more information.
Will the Quintessentially Foundation distribute all of the funds raised to the partner charities?
After fundraising and administration costs, all funds raised through the foundation will be distributed among the partner charities and is at the sole discretion of the Board of the Trustees. We are looking to launch a Small Grants Programme in July 2011. More details will be announced shortly.
How are the administrative costs of the Quintessentially Foundation met? The administrative costs of the Quintessentially Foundation are met out of the sums raised by the Quintessentially Foundation. Our target administration costs are 10% or lower. Quintessentially Group companies help to minimise these costs by providing assistance on a discounted or pro bono basis where possible. Furthermore, all legal and auditing services are being kindly donated by Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP and Ivan Sopher & Co respectively.
