Small Grants Programme

We are proud to also support smaller and grass roots projects.

We realise that as well as considering the larger challenges that we face on a global scale it is important to work with grass roots charities that can positively change a community and address a local need quickly.

Due to the large number of requests for support Quintessentially Foundation receive, we ask those considering approaching us for support see the notes below.

  • All projects must make measurable and sustainable improvements to people’s lives
  • We look for charities which have a creative spark that makes them unique.
  • Grant are reviewed in the last quarter of the year
  • Grants re awarded in the first quarter of the following year
  • Applications can be submitted from October- December
  • Applications will only be considered via email
  • Applications will only be considered by Quintessentially Foundation when introduced through a connection to Quintessentially. Unsolicited applications will not be considered.
  • Only charities which have been shortlisted for consideration will be contacted.
  • Documents are to be sent to info@quintessentiallyfoundation.org
  • One document to be sent which is not more than 2 pages in length (A4) including any images.
  • Document is to be no larger than 4mb in size
  • Grants range from £500 – £2,000 (GBP)

What is the eligibility criteria for small grant applications to Quintessentially Foundation?

  1. Does your work echo our mission to improve education, health and welfare of disadvantaged people and communities worldwide?
  2. Your charity must be registered in the UK
  3. The service provided must be independently audited
  4. The charity must be independent of state, political party, religion

Questions for applications to Quintessentially Foundation

  1. Who are your Trustees?
  2. Please confirm your governance systems
  3. Staff size – how many paid staff work for the charity. How many volunteers do you use to directly deliver your work
  4. What % of your funds raised are spent on operational and core costs
  5. What partnerships with foundations or corporations have you been involved with in the past?
  6. Do you have any connection to the Quintessentially Group to date?
  7. When was the charity set up?
  8. What are the metrics used to measure your work to date?
  9. How do you measure your project’s sustainability?
  10. What would you do with a donation up to £2,000 from Quintessentially Foundation?
  11. Do you receive government funding?
  • The decision of the Quintessentially Foundation Trustees is final
  • Quintessentially Foundation reserve the right to enter in to a longer partnership with a chosen charity than 12 months should they believe it will positively benefit the reach of the work the charity does.
