East Africa Food Crisis Appeal:

The whole of the horn of Africa region has been hit by the worst drought in 60 years which has left more than 11 million people in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and the newly formed Republic of South Sudan in urgent need of food, water and emergency health care. Chipata, Zambia:

“In Chipata families are falling apart. Family breakdown and child abandonment are huge problems. One in six of all children are orphans, compared to one in 12 in the wider Zambian population. HIV/AIDS also has a devastating effect on local families. Chipata Children’s Village will be a safe and loving home for up to 130 children – and hundreds more will come and live there in the future. Help build Chipata Village.”
