Phillips de Pury Event, New York

Quintessentially Foundation, in association with the Make It Right Foundation, hosted its first event in New York with a special evening on the opening night of this year’s Design Auction at Phillips de Pury & Company, New York, for 200 Quintessentially members.

The exclusive preview showcased some of the most inspirational and cutting-edge pieces of contemporary design, and this year featured Michael Wolfson’s Genoa desk which was auctioned off in aid of the Make It Right Foundation.

The Make It Right Foundation was set up by Brad Pitt in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2006. The charity’s mission is to be a catalyst for redevelopment of the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans, by building a neighborhood comprised of safe and healthy homes that are inspired by Cradle to Cradle thinking, with an emphasis on a high quality of design, while preserving the spirit of the community’s culture.
