Poker Event in aid of SOS Children

Quintessentially Foundation hosted its first annual Poker Night on the 22nd November, successfully raising a staggering £90,000 for SOS Children. Held at the Savoy Hotel, the event was buzzing with two hundred and eighty guests coming to play or spectate the Quintessentially Foundation Poker Tournament. Guests to the event enjoyed The Savoy’s canapés and service, with drinks from Pommery, Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whiskey and U’Luvka Vodka cocktails.

The format of the evening catered for poker lovers and their guests, with one hundred and seventy one players taking their seats alongside A-List faces for a Texas Hold’em tournament, while a drinks and canapés reception continued alongside the game for one hundred other attendees. Star players included David Walliams, Grace Woodward, Ben Elliot, John McCririck, Tom Parker-Bowles, Michael Vaughan and Jimmy Anderson.

Sebastian Lee was the tournament winner taking home the African safari Holiday by Mantis Collection, and runner up John Brink winning the Marcus Wareing cook at your home experience.

The event showcased Quintessentially Foundation alongside some of the most luxurious and exclusive brands in the world, and we have received extensive media coverage from London’s Evening Standard, Grazia, The Financial Times How to Spend it magazine and The Daily Mail.

This year’s Poker event fundraising is going to SOS Children, towards their current projects in Chipata Zambia to give children the love and care they require through Family Strengthening Programmes. Thank you to everyone that attended and supported the event. We hope to see you all next year for more gambling for good causes.
