On 13th September, Quintessentially London held a 5-a-side football tournament in memory of Andy Eglin who sadly passed away last year due to type 1 diabetes. The tournament is in aid of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation whose primary objective is to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.
The tournament included 16 teams, each team containing a maximum of 8 players, with a group stage followed by knock-out rounds. In addition to the football there was also a silent auction featuring some excellent prizes including tickets to Arsenal’s exclusive Diamond club and a Chelsea signed shirt.
We would like to thank everyone who was able to join us for this really special event, and are so glad that we were able to raise money for a cause which has affected us all.
