On Wednesday 10th March, The Affordable Art Fair held their charity preview night in aid of The Place2Be, in partnership with Quintessentially Foundation.
The Affordable Art Fair is the leading art fair for pieces under GBP 3,000 in value and takes place in Battersea Park, London.
The opening night of the fair was a charity fundraiser and we were fortunate enough to partner with The Place2Be to help raise money for this terrific charity and help support their work in the schools of Wandsworth, London. Martin Bell, the former MP and BBC correspondent opened the fair on behalf of the charity and over 4,000 guests attended an excellent evening which saw over £15,000 being raised for The Place2Be. As well as raising money through ticket sales and a silent auction, which was kindly supported by donations from many of the exhibiting galleries, The Place2Be was given an area in which to showcase its school-based counselling services to the visitors.
We would like to thank The Affordable Art Fair for supporting The Place2Be and all those galleries which donated pieces to the silent auction.
